Is Love in the Heir?

Is Love in the Heir?

When we accept Christ as our personal savior we become heirs of God! (Galatians 4:4-7) As Christ followers and God’s heirs, we are called to love.

Has love lost its meaning?

We say: “I love Pizza”; “I love your new haircut”; “I love the Buckeyes”;

We watch: “The Love Boat”; “Joanie loves ChaChi”; “Love Connection”; “I Love Lucy”;

We sing: “Love Me Tender”; “Love Will Keep Us Together”; “Love Me Do”;

The world is trying to define love. God already has.

In 1st Corinthians 13:1-8, commonly known as the love chapter of the Bible, God spells out exactly for us what love is and what it is not.

This is the exercise my family and I are doing in 2010 and we are inviting you and your family to do so as well.

The first line of 1 Corinthians 13:4 is, Love is patient. Now, personalize it. Replace the word love with your name, ___________________ is patient. Spend January asking that question. Am I Patient? Love is.

This exercise will continue throughout 2010. This site will be a place to read and share our love stories throughout 2010.

Use the submit page to send in your love stories.

Is Love In The Heir?
